    Richard Wyles

    Chief Executive Officer, Totara

    Before co-founding Totara, Richard played a leading role in the dramatic rise of Moodle as the e-learning technology of choice in his home country New Zealand and internationally. He has led large government-funded Moodle projects including the very first enterprise-scale deployment of Moodle in 2004. In 2006 he co-founded the Mahara project, the popular open source e-portfolio system.  That year Richard also co-founded Flexible Learning Network, now part of the City & Guilds Kineo group of companies. Richard manages the global operation of Totara Learning from the company's head office in Wellington, New Zealand.

    André Yamin

    Director of Product Management, Totara

    André leads a team of senior product managers, business analysts, solution consultants and customer support officers who interact with a broad range of stakeholders, continually gather and analyse data and business intelligence from multiple sources to ensure we are building products that deliver to customers business agility and success.

    Before joining the Totara team, André co-founded a Totara Partner in Brazil and worked for a Platinum Partner in New Zealand as a Senior Solution Architect.

    Josleen Itayi

    Perioperative Nurse Educator & PDRP Coordinator, Braemar Hospital

    Josleen has been a registered nurse for 26years, with 13 as an educator predominantly in private surgical hospitals. She is the site administrator for Totara and Mahara at Braemar Hospital, where she successfully led the systems' implementation in 2018. Josleen describes her role as vast, autonomous and adaptable.

  • Kelvin Hylton - VTNZ - Totara Customer

    Kelvin Hylton

    Technical Training Manager, VTNZ

    Kelvin Hylton is the Technical Training Manager at the Vehicle Testing New Zealand (VTNZ) Support Office. He has been with VTNZ for over 10 years and has worked his way up through the ranks.

    Kelvin was heavily involved in the major reconstruction of how learning is communicated across the organisation and has been the key driver to the Learning Centre's success.

    Nana Jones

    Learning Designer, Kiwibank

    Nanais a Learning Designer at Kiwibank. She has been dubbed the ‘Generalist' from her peers due to her knowledge in Instructional Design, Digital Development, and LMS administration. Nana is passionate about creating interactive learning experiences that are engaging and effective -and provides great reporting!

  • Jeanette Sasse -Kiwibank- Totara

    Jeanette Sasse

    Learning Designer, Kiwibank

    Jeanette is one of Kiwibank's newest Learning Designers. With a background in 3D animation, production coordination, and the tertiary education sector, she brings a unique combination of skills to her work. Jeanette is a strong advocate for taking action and utilising feedback to achieve great learning outcomes.

Totara Learning is excited to announce a Totara User Conference in central city Wellington, New Zealand on 7-8 August 2019 at Cliftons, Majestic Tower, with panoramic views over Wellington Harbour.

The New Zealand Totara Government User Group would also like to welcome anyone travelling into the Conference on 6th August to take part in some optional networking seminars. These are open to all users from all sectors.

This Totara User Conference will bring together the Totara Community from a wide variety of industry sectors to collaborate and to learn from each other's experiences. All current Totara users and potential future users are invited to secure their spot today.

You'll get the chance to hear directly from the Totara Team about product innovations and what's in store for the future, as well as share practical Totara product advice, how-tos and best practice tips across multiple industries from across Australasia.

Pre-Conference Seminars - 6th August

Starting at approximately 11 am, several free seminars will be available across the day, giving you even more opportunities to network and learn from other Totara Users.

Morning registration for Day 1 of the Conference opens at 8.15am, with the day itself a series of Totara Partner-run workshops covering a range of hot topics.
